Fundraising Space: Where next?

January 12, 2021 By Andrew Taylor-Dawson

Fundraising Space: Where next?

2020 was full of unexpected surprises for everyone, and for Fundraising Space it was no different.

We launched in the middle of lockdown, hastily abandoning plans for a half-day in-person conference and organising a series of webinars instead, to provide learning and inspiration to fundraisers working from home.

You gave us tons of useful feedback from those events. There were lots of positives and lots of things to improve for the future – which have shaped our plans for 2021.

A community for learning

Participants at our webinars last year overwhelmingly found the case study examples given by other charities and NGOs to be the most useful element of our events. So we’re going to make sure the largest part of our events are geared towards this kind of content in future.

We’d love to hear your suggestions of campaigns you’ve seen and NGOs you’d love to hear from – get in touch with us and let us know.

A half-day online event

To allow for some in-depth learning from a wide range of fundraisers, we plan to create an online afternoon conference that brings together amazing case studies from a variety of small and large organisations and creates space for discussion on the issues and challenges that you care about.

Watch out for a full announcement soon. We intend to make it as cheap as we can to enable as many people to attend as possible.

Physical events?

Remember when we could all meet up in an actual physical room? It seems like a different world, but our intention was always to hold in person events. We want to use open space and facilitate conversions to happen that wouldn’t otherwise. But in 2021, the possibility of getting together in a space other than Zoom will hopefully open up again.

Once it is safe and it feels like the right time, we will start thinking about creating our first physical event.

Your input:

We want to all out content as relevant to you as possible. We want to collaborate, feature your successes and present the case studies and strategies that will help you develop your fundraising and engagement work.

If you’d like to speak at one of our events, have an article you’d like to contribute to our blog or you’d like to give some feedback, please get in touch with us by emailing hello@funraisingspace.co.uk. We have exciting plans for 2021, which are sure to evolve as we go. It would be great if you could help shape the direction of events and resources to come.

We hope to see you at an event in 2021!
