Fundraising Space is a community for fundraisers. We support innovation in fundraising by creating space for sharing and learning. We crowdsource useful digital fundraising resources and run regular events where anyone involved in fundraising can come and share their knowledge and experience and learn from fellow professionals.
As well as sharing practical advice for how you can improve your digital fundraising, Fundraising Space is also a community for sharing new ideas, perspectives and approaches that inspire us all to be not just better fundraisers, but braver and bolder ones too.
The community is not just for fundraisers, our space seeks to break down the barriers between digital and non-digital fundraising, campaigning, communications and marketing. We believe that the best, most successful, fundraising is integrated and supporter centred. Fundraising Space is for anyone whose role is engaged with fundraising – or thinks it should be!
We create space for sharing, learning and innovation by:
- Gathering inspiring, useful and practical digital fundraising resources from the professional UK fundraising community and beyond, and bringing them together in one place, for free.
- Running regular events that focus on sharing tangible insights and learnings, through organisations sharing in-depth case studies and participant-led ‘open space’ sessions that aim to explore and solve shared digital fundraising challenges.
- Curating a blog and email newsletter sharing the latest ideas, news and resources from the community.
Fundraising Space was founded by Andrew Taylor-Dawson, Glyn Thomas and Rebecca Turner: three fundraisers who noticed there wasn’t a community-led space or event where those specifically involved with or interested in digital fundraising could share their skills, knowledge and experience and learn from one another.
We were frustrated by the fact that the conversation around innovation in the fundraising sector is often dominated by a very small number voices, and by how hard it is to find practical, insight-driven advice on best practice in digital fundraising – so we decided to diversify the conversation, crowdsource the knowledge and demystify digital fundraising by creating Fundraising Space.
Through our steadily growing collection of online resources, email newsletter and regular events we want to not only drive best practice in digital fundraising but to drive innovation too. We want to inspire and support the community to be better, bolder and braver fundraisers through collective sharing and learning of successes and – whisper it – failures.
